Monday was our last day at the Isle of Wight. We went to Needles, which is a row of three distinctive stacks of chalk that rise out of the sea. First we went to Alum Bay where you find sand that contains a lot of different colours. Afterwards, we went to the Needles. The view was beautiful! The weather was really nice so we were very lucky. Afterwards we ate an ice scream and we went back to the cottage. At the cottage we had lunch. Later Jacey, Justin and I walked a bit around the park. Later that night, we hit the gym again. Afterwards we went for dinner at a nice restaurant. It was the end of a lovely internship/holiday. I really enjoyed my time at the Isle of Wight! If I could I would turn back time and experience everything one more time.
Yesterday, Tuesday, we had to leave. We woke up at a quarter to eight. We packed everything and put our luggage in the car. Jacey and I saw Otis and Millie for the last time, it was nice to see them. We had the boat to the mainland at 8'50 am but when we got there it turned out that boat was cancelled due to the weather. It was very windy. The new plan was to take the next boat at 10'05 am , but we couldn't get onto it. Finally at 12'05 pm we could get on the boat. When we arrived at the mainland, we had to drive to Dover. From Dover we took the boat to Calais (France). From Calais we drove to the Netherlands. We arrived in Heesch at 11 pm. I saw my parents again which was very nice. We said goodbye to Jacey and her family and that was the end of this internship/holiday. I really loved it and I'm sad it's over.
